Evergreen Review was a quarterly literary review magazine that was published by Grove Press. Started in 1957 it was to be the beginning of Grove Press' long association with the Beat Generation and related literary and art figures. It introduced the West Coast literary avant-garde to the rest of America and the world and was a crucial part of the Beat movement.
