The true first edition which precedes the British Herbert Jenkins edition by one year. Price clipped or in this case price torn jacket shows edgewear mainly to the spine edges and the front panel top and side edges. Light scratches to the front and back panels. Back panel quite soiled. 4cm closed tear to the top edge of the back panel. 2.5 cm tear to the bottom edge of the fold of the front flap. Light spotting to the boards. Bottom edge of boards show light soiling. Top edge of pages stained green. Interior of book is otherwise fine without a hint of foxing. A fine copy in a good dustcover.
