Hardcover. 8vo. Very good condition. 654 pages. Marbled paper over boards with leather to the spine. Text in English. Both joints split but both boards are still intact and are being held together by the binding cords, still quite strong and very much intact. General edgewear and soiling to the boards. Chip to the side edge of the front boards. Spine very much edgeworn, age darkeneed, rubbed and with chipping to the spine ends. Inscriptions to the front pastedown. Some minor discolouration to the pastedowns and endpapers. All interior pages are quite clean and bright. Very scarce especially complete with all plates present!

The 22 plates plus the frontispiece are present making this copy complete. Plates include numerous full page and numerous 3 panel fold outs. Plates include a map of Caernarvanshire, view of the Foundling Hospital, Plan of the position of the English and French fleets, The shooting of Admiral Byng, map of lower Saxony, plan of the city of Prague, map of Maryland with the Delaware counties and numerous others.

The contents of this edition include - various essays, poetry, history, a description of Caernarvanshire, situation and soil of New York, motions of the Prussian armies, proceedings of the political club, strange phenomenon, shrewd queries to a council of war and so on.
