Brown half leather over marbled boards with marbled pastedowns and endpapers. 5 raised bands to the spine with the titles in gilt. 5 full page engravings. 441 pages. Considerable edgewear and rubbing to the covers. 1cm chip out of the head of the spine. Remains of a bookplate to the front pastedown. Dampstaining to the top edge of pages. Light soiling to page edges. Notes and underlining in pencil to the firtst 22 pages. Else a very good copy.
